What is Zukaang Week?
Zukaang Week is an event we put together annually to celebrate the community of creators and fans who love this ship. Zukaang Week is traditionally held on Tumblr, but we are happy to announce that we will also be holding Zukaang Week on Twitter/X this year!When will Zukaang Week be held this year?
We usually hold Zukaang Week in the summer months, in June, July or August. The dates for Zukaang Week 2026 are still TBD, but it will likely be held around the last week of August. Check out the EVENTS section for more information.Where can I find fanworks created for Zukaang Week?

rules & FAQ

How can I participate in Zukaang Week?
Create your fanwork and post it on Tumblr or Twitter/X (or both)! Just make sure to tag your post with "#zukaang week 2026" on Tumblr and “#zukaangweek2026” on Twitter/X. You can also tag @zukaangweek in your Tumblr post, and @zukaang_week in your Twitter/X post or replies, which will help ensure that we see your post. Feel free to add your fanwork to the AO3 Collection created for each year's event as well. If you post your work elsewhere, feel free to send us the link in an ask or DM to @zukaangweek on Tumblr.What type of fanworks are allowed?
Any kind of creative fanworks are allowed! Fanfiction, fanart, edits, playlists, headcanons, moodboards, ANYTHING!What are the prompts for this year?
Prompts for this year are still TBD, but you can find the prompts for previous years in the EVENTS section.How do the prompts work?
There are typically one to three prompts for every day. You can choose one or all of them to inspire your work. If none of the prompts speak to you, feel free to create your own Zukaang fanwork. The prompts are meant to promote creativity, not restrict it!Can my fanwork include other ships?
All works must focus on the romantic relationship between Zuko and Aang. Other ships are welcome in the background, as long as Zukaang is front and center.Are NSFW fanworks allowed?
NSFW and mature fanworks are allowed as long as the characters are 18+ and the works are tagged appropriately. Please make sure to include a SFW preview when posting on Tumblr, and select appropriate content warnings when posting on Twitter/X.

Do you repost WIPs?
Absolutely! If you want to share a WIP before or during Zukaang Week, please tag the post with @zukaangweek on Tumblr or @zukaang_week on Twitter/X and we would love to reblog/retweet it.I have a work that I've already posted that fits one of the prompts! Can I submit it as an entry for Zukaang Week?
Since Zukaang Week is intended to inspire the creation of new works for the ship we love, previously posted works not specifically created for Zukaang Week will NOT be reblogged on Tumblr or accepted into the AO3 Collection. However, we DO welcome submissions of ongoing fics that post a new chapter during Zukaang Week, as long as they follow the guidelines.Help! I posted my fanwork, but it hasn't been reposted!

If you are unable to submit your work during this year's Zukaang Week, don't worry! We are happy to share late submissions all the way up until the next year’s Zukaang Week!If I’m not a creator, how can I support Zukaang Week?
You can support creators leading up to and during Zukaang Week by letting them know about it! Reblog/retweet and comment on their work! We’ll be reblogging and past Zukaang Week works on Tumblr from now up until the week of the event. We will also be retweeting general Zukaang works on Twitter/X. Supporting Zukaang fan content will encourage creators to participate in Zukaang Week and to continue creating after the week is over!Who is running Zukaang Week this year?
